Inventures Midlands Forum: “Beating the NHS Credit Crunch”
In order to celebrate the opening of Inventures midlands office earlier this year and to offer a platform for key decision makers to debate the current changes to the NHS, we are holding a forum on Thursday 9 July from 4-6pm at 43 Temple Row, Birmingham, B2 5LS.
Just a few weeks after the NHS Confederation described the financial situation facing us as ‘the NHS’s greatest ever leadership challenge,” our two speakers will be sharing their thoughts on the subject:
Peter Wearmouth - The Challenge to Meet the NHS Efficiency Drive
Peter previously held positions as Policy Director at the DoH and Chief Executive of the former NHS Estates. Peter undertook a number of National and Local strategic service/ estate/ property reviews, and carried out the first review in 15 years of procurement, operation and disposal of the NHS Estate. Peter has managed a number of major PFIs and PPPs including the £2bn partnering programme (Procure21) with the construction industry and the development and sale of surplus land and property with a value over £1.5bn. Peter led on a number of national service improvements to deliver to customer satisfaction, improve safety, develop good first impressions and feel good factors for NHS care.
Jill Ashley Jones - Remember the Shadow That You Cast: Using Motivational Leadership Profiling to Create the Climate for Innovation
Jill held a variety of positions including Director of Nursing & Quality, Chief Nurse Public Health Nursing and DoH Nursing Officer – Occupational Health. She was the Executive Lead on developing Clinical Empowerment programmes to change the culture/skills of nurses and therapists to realise the shift from secondary to primary care.
